Liam Neeson is done looking for love.<\/p>\n

When asked if he dates during a recent interview\u00a0with People<\/a>,<\/em>\u00a0the 72-year-old \u201cTaken\u201d star bluntly replied, \u201cNo, in a word.\u00a0 I\u2019m past all that.\"<\/p>\n

Neeson was married to Natasha Richardson from 1994 until her untimely passing at 45 in 2009. Over a year after her death, Neeson began dating Freya St. Johnston, a public relations executive based in the U.K. Their relationship lasted for two years.<\/p>

Before meeting Richardson while working on the Broadway revival of Anna Christie in 1993, Neeson dated notable figures like Barbra Streisand, Brooke Shields, and Helen Mirren, his co-star in the 1981 film \"Excalibur.\"<\/p>\n

\"I remember being on the set and standing with Ciar\u00e1n Hinds as Helen walked towards us dressed in her full Morgana Le Fey costume and we both went, \u2018Oh f---,\u2019 Neeson recalled on a 2018 episode of The Graham Norton Show. I was smitten. I think Ciar\u00e1n was too, but I was very smitten!\"<\/p>\n

Neeson and Mirren dated for four years until 1985, and he says he still occasionally keeps in touch with the \"White Bird\" actress. He looks back on their time together fondly, including a lovely trip to Southwest France. \"I remember going to see a bullfight there with Helen, which was extraordinary. Got really mixed feelings about that, seeing extraordinary acts of bravery and then seeing this horrible death,\" he says. \"Then we were on the Loire Valley camping. Oh my God, it was gorgeous. Helen was a good cook, cooking on an outside fire and stuff. Lovely.\"<\/p>\n

Although dating isn't on his radar these days, Neeson stays active with work and spending time with his sons, Miche\u00e1l and Daniel whom he had with \"The Parent Trap\" actress Richardson. Miche\u00e1l, an actor, and Daniel, an entrepreneur with his own tequila brand, De-Nada, live nearby in New York, allowing them to gather for movie or TV nights. \"Just simple stuff,\" Neeson shares. \"We used to do a bit of fly-fishing together. We haven't done it for several years now.\"<\/p>\n

Neeson also enjoys his alone time. The actor tries to take about two months off between projects. His ideal day off includes sleeping late and diving into a Patricia Cornwell mystery or Nordic noir books. \"I\u2019m an avid reader,\" he says.<\/p>\n

He's also grateful for the blessings in his life. \"I'm incredibly lucky,\" he reflects. \"I never, ever forget that. Even on a bad day on a movie set, for example, I always nip myself and say, \u2018Come on, come on. You have nothing to complain about.\u2019 And it's true.\"<\/p>\n
