While riding a golf cart on the way home from their wedding reception, they were struck by an alleged drunk driver. Miller, who was still in her wedding dress, died instantly and left Hutchinson with severe injuries including, bleeding in his brain, two broken legs, facial fractures and a broken vertebrae. What was the happiest night of his life, soon became Hutchinson's worst nightmare. \"He is physically recovering at home while trying to come to terms with the loss of his beautiful wife,\" Hutchinson's mother, Annette Hutchinson, wrote in an update to their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/sam-and-aric\">GoFundMe<\/a> account. \"Now he is doing the unimaginable of planning Sam\u2019s funeral along with her family.\" She continued by saying, \"We are missing Sam more than anything. She instantly fit into our family from the first day Aric and Sam met. She was everything to my son and changed him for the better. She could light up a room with her presence and had an ease about her. They shared many hopes and dreams for their future, including children and building a house.\"<\/p><div class=\"ad ad-container visible-xs-block\" style=\"height: 330px !important;\">\n    <div class=\"ad-label alt-text alt-pos-above\"><\/div>\n\t<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-mob_prem1_mid-0\" class=\"DFPAdSlot\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ad ad-container hidden-xs offset\" style=\"height: 680px !important;width: 300px !important;\">\n    <div class=\"ad-label\"><\/div>\n\t<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-dt_btf_inarticle1-1\" class=\"DFPAdSlot\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>Miller, a Charlotte native, had just left her wedding reception when she tragically passed away from alleged drunk driver, Jamie Komoroski, 25. According to court records, Komoroski is jailed without bond and is being charged with three counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury or death along with one count of reckless homicide. The 25-year-old was allegedly driving 65 mph in a 25 mph zone. Officers noted that she was unsteady on her feet and refused to take a sobriety test on the scene. At the hospital, her blood was drawn to test her blood-alcohol level, but the results have not been released.<\/p>\n<p>\"What started as the happiest day for Aric and Sam ended with a tragedy,\" the groom's mother wrote in the post. \"While our hearts are broken along with the Millers, we never could have imagined how sharing our story would result in the tremendous outpouring of love, support, and overwhelming generosity.\"<\/p>\n<p>Since the date of publication, Jamie Komoroski, has been denied bail and will remain in the Charleston County Detention Center until her trial in March 2024.<\/p>\n<div id=\"bnm-poll-modal\" class=\"modal\"><div class=\"modal-content\"><span class=\"modal-close\">&times;<\/span><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The pair were leaving their wedding reception when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":85,"featured_media":59694,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_oasis_is_in_workflow":0,"_oasis_original":0,"_oasis_task_priority":"2normal","fbia_status":""},"categories":[28041,15661],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v17.9 (Yoast SEO v17.9) -
